I wanted to tell you about this book I read a couple of months ago called The Magic. It was by Rhonda Byrne, the lady who wrote The Secret. It took me awhile to read it because I was kind of burnt out on these sort of books. Anyway, this is going to sound crazy, but I noticed changes instantly after doing a few of the exercises. The Magic is all about feeling gratitude and being thankful. One of the biggest take aways from the book is that in order to get what you want, you have to be thankful for what you already have.
The book really forces you to discover all that you have to be grateful for. If you have any desires in your life, you make a list of how those things have already showed up in your life. For example, if you are having money issues, think about all the ways money has showed up in your life. Think of all the things that were paid for on your behalf as a child and even now. If you’re having health problems, you’re reading this — so you’re still alive. Think about and be thankful for all the ways you are healthy. If you want love, think of all the ways love has already showed up in throughout your life. Thing about the times you feel in love or a time where you felt loved and be thankful for it.
Now, this all seems like hocus pocus if you’re not open-minded and honestly the title of the book doesn’t help. Since I read the book, I was able to increase my income, get a new wardrobe and do a few things that I really wanted to do. I noticed a change almost overnight. I don’t expect you just believe everything I’m saying, I want you to try it for yourself and see. Now, I can’t tell you everything that’s in the book, you’ll have to buy it or borrow it. I can tell you the one thing that I do everyday that really helps me. Every morning when I open my eyes and every night before I close my eyes, the first thing and last thing I do every day is just say, ‘THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU’. It is my prayer and my mantra. I don’t just say it, I really feel it. In the morning I feel thankful for all the things I’m looking forward in the day. At night, I feel gratitude for all that I am thankful for that day. It’s so powerful and so simple and I’ll be doing it every day for the rest of my life. I just try to live like that and just attempt to be thankful in every moment. ‘Thank You’ is probably top 5 most used phrase in my vocabulary. I’m constantly saying it to people and as a prayer.
I hope this inspires you to feel more appreciative, to feel more love in your life and to fell more thankful.
